In David joined the film industry in 1970 as an assistant production accountant at EMI Elstree Studios under the guidance of Brian Forbes and learned his trade on “The Boyfriend,” “The Railway Children” and “The Go Between.”
In 1972, moving across to Pinewood Studios, where would be in residence for over twenty five years, he became a freelance Film Accountant and Production Manager, combining his financial and production experiences, to become a Line Producer and, ultimately, a Producer. His experience now stretches to more than fifty films and TV productions on four continents. In 1997, David was the “bondable” Producer on “Up n Under.” In Wales He has now completed sixteen features there and ten shorts, picking up two BAFTA awards for best film. 
For many years a member of the Production Guild UK (board member for its inaugural 3 years) David has tutored BA and MA at the Atrium University in Cardiff, as well as the producers forum in Birmingham and Target training Manchester. He is a long standing member of BAFTA
